Tomorrow I'm going to repost the Body Image post that I put up last week in a format appropriate for sharing/re-blogging here and on Tumblr. I removed the link to the "What's Your Ethnicity" creep's FB convo (because of Real Names) and re-wrote some of the language so people who aren't familiar with my ongoing health issues won't be confused. I left in the cussing.

Also? Holy crap, my other post for today got 64 notes. Enough that they don't all display and you have to click to expand the threads.

I try to be wary of posting very revealing comments on public posts. Sometimes, I forget. I like the safe space of a locked post, but public posts are important, too.

Since I don't follow nearly the number of people who follow me, and I post a lot of what I think is important health and political stuff, I keep my journal 99% public. It's not as safe, no, but I've never been one to hold my tongue in person, either.

I have professional concerns about posting publicly. I don't want my internet footprint to keep me from getting good jobs. That's not a concern that everyone has or should have, but it does concern me. I will speak my mind very freely in person. Unless someone is recording, the spoken word is fugitive ephemera. I am likely to censor myself when commenting on public posts, unless I don't notice they are public. I need to pay attention!
