Today's favorite word: respite
1. Do you follow current events? Why/Why not?
Yes, definitely. I don't like things sneaking up on me.
2. Where do you get most of your news from?
NPR, PRI, BBC
3. Do you believe that the media is biased? Why or why not?
Yes, definitely. I'm not a moron.
4. Will you be voting this year?
Oh hell yes.
5. Describe one political issue that really pushes your button.
Pushes my button...if that means pisses me off, I'd have to say all the recent religious bullshit that's going on. Everything from the faith-based initiatives to the recent marriage protection crap. That stuff just sends me over the edge. But the issue that has always been near and dear to my heart since I was a kid is freedom of speech.
We had the first full run through of the CotK show last night. Just one more rehearsal--the tech run--before the show. I'll refrain from making editorial comments until the show is over. 'Cept to say: Do I think it'll be worth $7 to see? Yeah, probably. Am I happy with the show in general? No, not really. But I'll withhold final judgement until after I see the whole thing come together tomorrow night.
Tonight: Against better judgement, I will be shaking my booty to Sellout at Granada. Tech rehearsal isn't until noon tomorrow. I should be fine.

All the cynics can quit snickering now, before I bring up how the three branches of government (judicial, legislative, executive) are also supposed to be a check-and-balance system. Right now I feel like a pair of scissors, and all three of those branches are big old rocks.
