Maybe I could just sleep through the next several months
Might've overdone it in today's session with Andrew. I'm so wiped out I don't even have the energy to read porn. Not shitting you. I found a due South rec list on Tumblr and had to just bookmark the list so I can come back to it later because I do not have the energy to enjoy a good due South story how I'd like.
That's some serious tired.
I started the SCD experiment today.
Three to five days of shredded chicken in broth, broiled meatballs (so most of the fat drips out), pureed carrots, and gelatin made with half water and half no-sugar-added grape juice. After the intro period (I'm hoping for three days, not five), I get to add pureed summer squash (but not zucchini). Then after four days of eating pureed summer squash once a day, I graduate to pureed acorn squash (provided I experience no problems with the summer squash). After four days of that, I get to add pureed butternut squash. And then pureed spinach. And then pureed zucchini. Repeat for the next several months until I've added in more vegetables. All food prep is done with very low fat since fat is tough to digest.
I get to start eating vegetables that are simply cooked, not pureed, in Stage Five.
This is going to be horrible.

I hope that the new experiment gets good results.

I am rooting for you that the diet helps long-term. Are you allowed to have wine, coffee, or tea while you're doing this? Because we could get together for any of those options.

Ugh, you poor thing, that sounds terribly boring. And out of season, too.
I'm not sure I understand the SCD, and there's way too much contradictory stuff I'm finding... what about all that fructose? I'm really confused..or perhaps I'm thinking of the FODMAP diet? (Or avoiding them, or however it goes).
Bleh.

I hope this diet has RESULTS. It sounds like pure hell, but would be worth it if it worked.

But seriously, I hope this works. I mean, I REALLY hope this works. I admire that you are willing to keep plugging away to find out what is the issue, it takes a lot of strength and perseverance to do this.
My mom is having some health issues and I realized, as I drove home, that I think of my body as a ticking time bomb and I'm just waiting for it to count down to zero.

I still think it's a problem for me, so I'm hyper-vigilant.
But last night I ate pork chops with applesauce.. yum!
On that note, did you ever see "The Carrot Train to Crazytown"? (http://whole9life.com/2010/04/crazytown2/) That cracked me up!

HA HA HA HA HA! That's pretty much my thoughts on it right now, too.

Do you cook your veggies prior to puree?

Ugh.
Oh, and everything's peeled or seeded, too.
BLEH.

You know, I'm not sure I've ever seen one of his films.
