I went to see my chiropractor, Mikell Adams, yesterday afternoon. I immediately felt better and am much better this morning. I'm going to try to walk to work tomorrow! I'm not supposed to sit for more than fifteen minutes at a time, which is...crazy-making. Fifteen minutes is not very long.

A couple years ago, I finally joined Facebook, thinking that when my health got under control, I could use it to get dance gigs. My health never sufficiently improved, and what with this sort of malarkey going on, I think I'm gonna shut it down.

Oh, and I might have set up a Twitter account as clevermanka. I've only sent one tweet so far, but when I get a smartphone (someday?) WATCH OUT WORLD.

My biggest beef is that FB is not interactive the way I want it to be, and largely because I'm pretty reserved over there. I don't talk about my loves of gay porn, booze and drugs, sex, etc. etc. etc. because the general public just do not need to know those things about me. It's why I NEVER reference the fact that I have an online presence elsewhere.

99% of my fb posts are under some flavor of friendslock restriction, and the ones that are public are almost invariably politics or cat pictures. it's fine for 'party conversation' and not much more, it just has the weight of inertia and 'just about fucking everyone is there, so it's convenient.'

i don't smartphone, but have found third-party apps for twitter on the pc to be vastly superior to going to the site and having yet!another!tab!open!constantly - my preference is for tweetdeck, but hootsuite has also been a favorite of folks with whom i've worked. i think seesmic has sundowned, but it was nice, too.

I keep my FB locked down, but I still don't get very revealing. I'd rather all of my friends were on LJ, but I'm never going to get that to happen. I feel more isolated than ever, these days. I'm trying to determine the way forward.

Maybe we need to re-instigate Friday Night Hangouts someplace. Not every week, but perhaps once a month? They don't have to revolve around booze, either. In fact, since I'm not really drinking anymore, and I know a couple others who are cutting out or at least cutting down themselves, going to a not-bar would be faboo.

Oh and I forgot to tell you that style post is faboo. The embroidered coat was made for you, the Belstaff coats are to die for, and there were so many that I just went "oh yeah" to see.
I love Rihanna and her style, although I'm waffley about that dress, I don't think that she deserved the backlash about it. It's the first time I saw the whole thing, and I was surprised because everything I'd read spouted off about her being "totally naked" in it. That's not what I'm seeing, people are simply stupid.

I've been posting a lot of political/feminist stuff there so I feel like I'm educating people. I've had more than a few people be all "wow I had no idea things were so fucked up for women." But is it worth feeling dirty for using the platform? ehhhhhhhhhhh
