I survived Hall H

Quickly, before I fall down:

We actually got into Hall H with minimal waiting (only two hours!) and were seated close enough to see facial expressions on the panelists. We went for the Dreamworks panel with John Malkovich and Benedict Cumberbatch. Craig Ferguson was the moderator. It was fantastic. Totally worth the (minimal!) wait in line. When we left at 8pm, people were already camped out for tomorrow's Hall H.

Everything else went well, too. More later. Now, shower and bed.

YAY! Man, I'm mad jelly about SDCC, and not even a lick jelly about the crowds you're dealing with.

I think my first SDCC was 1983, when it was still just Nerd Central.

The crowds are there, don't get me wrong, but they're really not all that bad. Of course, that was yesterday (Thursday). We'll see what Friday and Sunday are like. And I'm not going on Saturday, so...

Awesome! Our TPP rep went to the Dreamworks press conference, after being told that BC would be there. Then, bait and switch, he ended up not coming, and they had to run to Hall H but managed to get in! That was awesome! And Heidi asked a question and mentioned Three Patch Podcast to BC!!! EE!!!

Weird. I'm not sure why someone told her he would be elsewhere. The schedule said he'd be in Hall H for the Dreamworks panel. I'm glad she got in. I saw her!

Good plan to get there early and ease into the madness. While I am eagerly awaiting all of the stories, I am really enjoying the gif madness in the interim.

A friend who works in the business will have to show her face at SDCC next year. I'm offering myself as stuff schleper if she gets me in, though she will probably have it covered by herself. I can try!
