Head, Heart, Hands
You know how people say every day above ground (or upright or whatever) is a good day? Well fuck a bunch of that. Yesterday was a shitty day.
After I sobbed for half an hour (actual broken sobbing interspersed with coughing fits from so much drainage from the sobbing), I scrubbed my face and went to work, where I eventually wound up with a migraine and by 5pm I could barely stand.
When I got home, I went to bed and slept for about half an hour.
mckitterick and I had a dinner date with some friends and I tried to rally for that, but before the food came, I felt the nausea coming on and I had to ask him to take me home. I went back to bed and slept for another two hours. I woke up for another thirty minutes or so after he got back home, managed to get a few bites of food in me, and went back to bed.
Woke up this morning with a bit of a headache still and called in sick. Spending the day in front of the computer is not a good idea. I probably won't be back on much today, so I might not respond to comments here in a timely fashion.
Since my local doctor's office can no longer do blood tests requested by my naturopath and KU Med still hasn't called me back regarding an appointment with immunology or the doctor
redheadfae mentioned, it's time to call this fight. As soon as I feel up to making a phone call (maybe after lunch), I'm ringing up my PCP to request she send stuff off to the Mayo Clinic. I've done everything I can at the local level. Let's see if the big guns can/will do anything for me.

Since that's not really an option, all I can do right now is show you this video which I know you enjoy.

WTH, why isn't LJ taking my choice of icons the first time I post a comment? It's just using the default icon and making me go back to edit the comment every damn time.

You are so sick. :(
I hope the folks at Mayo can solve your problem.

It sucks to go remotely, but I'm also glad you are willing to.
My SIL eventually had to go be treated at Beth Israel in Boston. Having to occasionally fly for treatment is inconvenient, but she did find help for her condition, which is now manageable. She hit the Mayo Clinic first, and they did help to discover what was wrong that local doctors couldn't, but they didn't have resources to help her, but they were able to tell her where the specialists were that could.
Every symptom you've mentioned lately, including the crying, is pretty much like being pregnant. And dealing with that day after day after day is draining. I hope that the Mayo clinic has the answers!

Also, gun icons are ALWAYS welcome on this blog. (I had to edit the comment to give you this gun/bacon icon)

Also, I checked out your Tumblr for today, and the finger puppets that look like tiny hands are cracking me the hell up. :)

I'm also sending super-competence vibes to the Mayo Clinic folks. I have high hopes for them based on how useful their website is for writing. Well, and y'know, the Mayo effing Clinic. Here's hoping their reputation will prove to be well-deserved.
*more hugs* And another silly video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQU4mjE2pQA).

What a rotten, shitty day. I'm so sorry, hun.

Oh, ARMED. I thought you said ARMORED!
Oh man, mine's bad enough with just her tail and massive digging paws. It's a good thing my mom's stash of illegal fireworks is in IL and not with us in CA.
