Mine has become an awful driver as he has gotten older, very aggressive and constantly failing to notice other drivers, while my mother is getting more and more timid, and avoids driving whenever possible. And yet, the two of them still take extended road trips several times a year, when they could afford to fly. It's enough to give ME a heart attack.
