Motivated

Didn't get any sewing done last night. By the time I took a nap (I was wiped after work), transferred the jerky to the dehydrator (this takes a surprisingly long time), made dinner, cleaned up after dinner, then got the sewing room cleaned up after months of disuse and this week's flurry of activity with the dS fanart...I didn't have it in me to try to be creative or operate machinery.

This morning (so far) I am doing my best to keep church-mouse quiet. Yesterday was the last day of the CSSF summer stuff and I'm sure [livejournal.com profile] mckitterick was out late with the participants. He has stuff to do this morning, but I want him to sleep as long as possible.

Myself, I haven't been sleeping well this week. I thought maybe it was the decreased levels of carbs from careful eating. So I made myself a tiny batch of date-nut bars (equivalent to about one and a half Lara Bars) and ate it last night after dinner. Sleep was still spotty, so I don't think that was it. I'll try an extra Kavinace for the next few nights next. Those little things are expensive, but wow my sleep improved (overall) when I started taking them.

I want to be able to be better rested physically now that I have some of my mental energy back. I got shit to do.

My sleep has been spotty as well due to fluctuating pressure fronts. Does the weather bother yours?

Yeah, it does. But since I never pay much attention to the weather other than "Oh hey it's raining" or "Look the sun's out," I never think about it unless someone tells me the barometer is changing. I even said "the barometer is changing" like I knew what that meant, which I don't, really. And I don't really care, soooo..... =D

Hah.
Well, I do know that low pressure means my sleep is crummy and storms are coming, beyond that, I don't think about it much either until I've already sat awake most of the night. By then, I'm sure it's too late to think about it, and well.. what can we do, right? Just wondering if you've noticed a pattern with storms and sleep.

I definitely, do, yeah, and it's not always just the noisy ones. Even a light rain will keep me awake. I'm also more likely to get headaches when a storm is rolling in.

I think my physical body tries to somehow make up for my insensitive nature.

:chortle:
We could make a lot of puns about those things.. like having been gutsy all my life and now having wimpy guts.
