Regarding daily activity: now I wonder how much of my weight loss when I became a mail carrier was due to believing that I would lose weight. But then, an acquaintance wore a fitbit thing and found out he burned something like 3,000 calories a day. And most--not all, but most--mail carriers on walking routes are thinner than carriers on driving routes.
