Just made a last minute decision to take tomorrow off. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to cancel my afternoon appointments in KC. How amazing would it be to not leave the house between dropping off

mckitterick at the airport this afternoon and picking him up Saturday night? IT WOULD BE SO AMAZING.

I need to decide that soon. Like, in the next couple hours.

Yeah, I went ahead and canceled the appointments. I'm gonna stop at the grocery store on my way back from the airport and then not see another human being until some friends come over sometime on Friday afternoon.

Oh man those boots. Gonna give myself a 24 hour waiting period and see how I feel about spending a third of my paycheck on a pair of boots tomorrow.

FOR REAL. And so perfectly in my color palette.

The only thing keeping me from ordering them right now is I've never purchased anything from Free People and I'm not as assured of the quality as I would be, say, ordering a pair of Fryes.

It's not even *good* smut, though the wine is a Piesporter from a vineyard we used to visit in Germany when we lived there. (How odd to find that, at the liquor store attached to the gas station off my exit on I-35.) I grabbed a bunch of my mom's Nora Roberts books from her bookshelf before I left...just, you know, comfort smut?

Ha ha ha ha ha COMFORT SMUT! Yes, I totally understand that. I have certain fics I go back to. It's like, I know where to find the angst and the sex and the angsty sex and I just skim until I get to the parts I want. Comfort Smut is a great expression for that.
