Ultra

Your brain needs exercise, too.

Saw American Ultra yesterday. I liked it a lot. Seriously considering catching another showing tonight because 1) there were some things early in the film I'd like to see again, knowing about what happens later in the movie and 2) apparently it did poorly and I'd like to give it some more money even though it doesn't actually matter at this point.

Slept for crap last night and am exhausted today. That'll probably be what keeps me from trying to make the 7:45 show tonight.

Hmm, I've seen a pile of movies in the last month and have not heard of this one at all. Haven't seen posters at the theaters, big or small, and since I don't watch TV, no ads. Maybe I'll try to find it this week.

I don't think it's gonna be in theaters long, so catch it while you can. The fight scenes are great, and played well on the big screen.

It's playing at the super duper new theater with adult beverages that's 15 min from my place, so it might be a solo date night if J's not up for it. Thanks for the recommendation!

I randomly saw an advertisement for American Ultra one day last week. I hadn't even really heard anything about it until that point. I hate that it did poorly - it looked really intriguing!

Yeah, Lionsgate did a shit job of promoting it.

Draco has suggested it for a family movie night.

My only complaint is that it's pretty white.

Saving that brain article to read later.

Might have to go see that.. Walton Goggins was AWESOME in the Justified series. I'd like to see him in more stuff.

He was really creepy in this. Brilliant.

I read a review of "American Ultra" just yesterday, I think (maybe Monday) that talked about the acting.

Ah, here it is.

OK, so I clicked on the "your brain needs exercise, too" and it was COMPLETELY not what I expected! I thought, "oh boy, MATH! there must be studies that show that we need to practice our thinking skillz." WRONG!!

Sorry that dude's movie didn't roll in the money; it would hurt to work that hard on something that seems unappreciated. I'm not a huge fan of hybrid genre movies when comedy is involved. But none of the other movies listed at that link are movies I would go see, either.
