Friday Fives

From [livejournal.com profile] fridayfiver
1. How much TV do you watch? Very little. Haven't watched television since the season finale of Smallville.
2. What is your favorite type of programming? The kind that doesn't suck.
3. What is your favorite TV show? Currently running? Smallville. I was also quite fond of Farscape and Babylon 5.
4. Do you watch a TV show from beginning to end, or are you a flipper? Death to flippers. But I love TiVo.
5. Could you give up TV for a month? Have done so before, and undoubtedly will again.
From [livejournal.com profile] thefridayfive
1. If you came upon a time machine, where would you go? Would you alter anything? Why? I wouldn't mind going back to 1955 and buying some clothes, shoes, fabric, and patterns. I don't know that I'd change anything. That can cause too many problems in the space-time continuum. Geez, don't you people watch movies?
2. If you managed to capture the Questing Beast, an odd combination of animal forms that is said to know the answers to all questions, what one question would you ask it? Would the answer change anything? Maybe I'd ask if there was intelligent life on other planets. I don't think it would change anything, but it would be nice to know.
3. You've found yourself a rather obedient genie in a bottle. Make your three wishes. Why, out of everything you could ask for, do these three win out?
  • I want to stay fit and in shape for the rest of my life with absolutely no effort on my part. Because I'm lazy, but vain.
  • I want to be able to live in financial comfort without holding a full time job. Because there are so many things I don't get to do as often as I'd like (dance, art, volunteer) thanks to a 40 hour work week.
  • I want to be empathetic to people's feelings and reactions without having to be told straight out. Because sometime I'm an oblivious twit.
    4. Someone presents you with a working voodoo doll. Do you use it? On who, why, and to what purpose? No. I don't take voudoun so lightly, thanks.
    5. Pick a superpower, any superpower. What and why? How would this change your life? That would depend on if I got the superpower before, after, or independantly of the genie wishes. My dance instructor has mentioned that she'd like to be Stay In Shape Woman and that sounds pretty good to me, too. After all, if you don't have your health, you don't have anything.

Laugh - That's a fun picture, and at the same time seems a good way to view the torrent ahead. ;)

What's freaky...the lyrics to that were my login fortune this morning when I opened my email.

Tess and I just now (as in less than 1 minute ago) purchased all 5 seasons of Bab 5 on DVD. Amazon sells them as a set and as series DVD's go, it wasn't a bad deal. I can't WAIT for it to show up. It's been far too long since that season left my life.

Farscape, sadly, still falls into the catagory of "too damn pricey." But, perhaps one day...
