Good Omens Overload

The vast majority of my Tumblr dash (on desktop) is blocked Good Omens tags or notifications of notes from my Twitter screencap about how everyone's dash is getting spammed with Good Omens posts. Seriously I paged down ten times to get to a post that wasn't one of those things, and it was something I'd already reblogged.

I think I'll be doing most of my Tumblring on my phone for a while since the app doesn't give you notes notifications. It's still funny to me (it's only at about 7k notes), but now I understand why people delete their mega-popular posts.

Note: I absolutely intend to watch the show, I just haven't had time to find a way to see it without giving Amazon any $$$. If someone's got a reliable download site suggestion, I'm all ears.

Ooh I LOVED Good Omens. It was absolutely delightful and just what I needed to soothe me in between angsty Nirvana in Fire episodes. I almost want to say that it would be worth giving Amazon money for *ugly tears*

Not sure if you are still looking for options or if this would even apply to you, but: Hubby, who was a Prime member in the distant past, logged onto Amazon and was offered a One Week prime membership for $1.99. Now -- he does have to remember to cancel it, but we opted in and used the week to watch Good Omens and make a purchase to take advantage of the 2 day shipping. Provided we don't sleep on the cancellation it should work out.

I very much enjoyed the book (when it came out--tbh I haven't read it since) so I'll probably enjoy the series. Most book fans seem fairly happy with it, anyway!

there's either a native tumblr setting or an xkit one to turn off a post's notifications. maybe you've found it by now. :)

The only thing I could find is one that turns off notifications for ALL posts, and I don't want to do that. Thing've slowed down, though, so it's not nearly as annoying as the first few days. WHEW.

XKit extension "Notification Block". I've had to use it precisely once, but it does the job. :)
