Someone is playing reveille behind Wescoe. Badly. I'm surprised the folks down in the military science building (down the hill a bit and to the right) haven't come storming up to demand he put a sock in it.

I'm so pleased that I got to meet Steven Brust last night! Thanks to

starstraf for bringing him out. He's absolutely charming and so personable. I very much enjoyed spending time with him. I can't help but like someone who so congenially admits he's a selfish, arrogant bastard.

Forgot to mention,

mesniu dropped by my office yesterday to say hello. Very sweet of him. I'm sure everyone knows how much I appreciate having an excuse to escape my desk for even a few minutes.
