Y'all, I have had a hate-on for Amanda Palmer for A Long Time, and when I saw this about her yesterday it felt like when people finally woke up about Joss Whedon another long-time hatred of mine, about whom I felt as a voice crying in the wilderness for, like, a decade.

I have been introduced to #FlirtyDancing—a blind date show where two people learn a dance separately and then must perform it upon meeting each other—and now I’m RUINED.  I thought "oh that sounds cute," started forming actual legit tears somewhere around the 00:45 mark (the first trust lean), and just. *deep breath*

So who's gonna write me the Guardian AU where they're all students at a theater arts college, or trying to break into their respective professions, or something because seriously I want to read about modern dancer Zhao Yunlan and ballet lead Shen Wei falling in love. Like toomuchplor's Inception Steinway!verse, only dancers. PLEASE. SOMEONE. (also I still miss dance So Fucking Much)

I asked for this Breeze Wong piece for some random upcoming gift, but now I see there's a different, landscape version and I am torn.

A comment left Wednesday on Lollipop made me tear up. I got it the day after the translation request and I just... wow. Humbling and gratifying! <3 I feel good.

A theatre AU is a great idea, but now you've made me positively crave an Inception AU! In fact, I can't believe I haven't headcanoned the SID + SW into dreamsharer roles already, seeing as how I usually do it to everyone. Zhao Yunlan would be the best extractor, seriously. Shen Wei would make an excellent point man and Lin Jing's the perfect chemist, but architect and forger are a bit up there...

Okay, so now it's my turn to suggest that you put that in the plot bunny farm so I don't grab it in my sweaty, already-way-too-full hands.

Da Qing and Zhu Hong for dual forgers who trade off jobs and/or work as a team (kinda love the idea of two forgers, now that I think about it). That leaves Chu Shuzi for architect and Guo Changcheng brings them all coffee when they get home.

Could well be. (Really, I hope what you saw was a reference to my friend and her group, if only because I hope AP wasn't routinely pulling that kind of shit. But it wouldn't surprise me if she was.)

There were a few years when I was pretty fond of Gaiman and his work (mainly Good Omens--which was the only Pratchett I'd read for a very long time--and Sandman, which I have very fond memories of but haven't revisited in about twenty years), but I wandered off well before he and AP got together and/or before I started hearing about what she was like.
