bonibaru tweeted about this book and I'm very interested because I plan to write what'll be probably the opposite sort of book about my own chronic illness journey. Will hunt down a copy of that later this week.

I reached a point in Accidental Voyeur and I...don't...know...where...to put the porn? I wrote a little over 2k words, got to the end and was like "oh, well hello emotional resolution with no porn." How did that happen???

Got a fic-writing/ao3 etiquette question: I submitted my ZYL Secret!Virgin fic to that collection and watched for it to post on Monday (as advertised). It never did. Nor did it post yesterday. There's only three stories submitted (which is kind of sad), so I think it's likely the challenge got canceled but there's no statement on the main page. I sent an email to the moderators but haven't heard back. The stories still haven't posted. Soooooooo when is it okay for me to remove my story from the challenge and post it myself? And, uh, how do I remove it so there aren't two copies of the story floating around?

Well nvm apparently a notice went out on Twitter that the collection wouldn't be revealed until December 16. SEEMS LIKE SOMETHING THAT SHOULD GO ON THE FAQ PAGE BUT OKAY.

I was wondering where that story had gone!! I was keeping an eye out for it and everything... Can you change it in the settings where you clicked "add to collection"? (I've only ever done one post to a collection and did not have to withdraw it so.) Because: yes! Take your story back! I'm sorry there's weirdness with the posting, that's really annoying for you. Hope the mod is okay and just bummed that there were so few stories...

That's unfortunate that the challenge doesn't seem to have worked out! I'd give it a couple more days to see if the mods want to at least make the collection public.

It should be easy to remove your story from the collection, just edit the story and in the "Associations" section, remove the Collection as an association. Let me know if you have any trouble and I can make a more detailed post. :)

Yes! I finally figured out how to even SEE it (go to edit works, not general dashboard) and can indeed unclick the collection option.

It is a bummer that not more people participated. It's such a brilliant prompt!

Thank you! I didn't think to go to "edit works" instead of my Works list on my dashboard until your comment. Creators were supposed to be revealed on Saturday, so maybe I'll wait until then? I've waited this long...

It's...not, no. And I feel like I could justify pulling it, definitely. But the reason I included it was to maybe get more people interested in the show and I've waited this long already and I don't want to lose that opportunity? sighhhhhhhhhhhhh

I think they're saying that the fics will be released(?) on Dec 10th but the authors won't be revealed until the 16th? Or, am I getting it wrong? (Entirely possible, cos I have no idea how challenges work!)

I actually found that tweet before I saw your post, when I went looking for the fic and couldn't find it, but while I was wondering whether it'd seem stalkerish to PM you about it you made the post, so... ^_^

But...at least another week, huh? T_T

Just FYI, I started The Untamed. Only one episode in so far, the combo of cheese and dubs may drive me away, along with the number of episodes. I'm going to give it a shot, though, because wow it's pretty.

I did start a kdrama that's on Netflix, Secret Affair, and *fans self*. There is something about Yoo Ah-in that reminds me of Tom Hardy.

The acting gets SO much better. That Mo family at the beginning is...I don't know what was going on, there. Once you hit the flashback (a bit over halfway through the second episode) the cheese goes away. I prefer the subs on Viki tbh, but if you don't have an account the ad breaks are annoying.

Oh, I'll try it on Viki too, see if I like the subs better. In the beginning, I was also desperately trying to figure out who was what, and what was going on. It was just lovely young men with long hair and cool robes for days.

Yeah, just pretty much give up trying to figure ANYTHING out the first two episodes and enjoy the pretty. I also printed out a character list from Wikipedia and would pause to check names/characters at first. That helped.
