Coming off a migraine and feeling fragile. Spent 19 of the past 24 hours in bed and could only tolerate about 30 seconds of screen time every hour or so. Not going to be pleased if 2020 is the year of getting a migraine on the last Friday of the month. So far we're two for two and I can say I'm not a fan.

I'm already starting to feel a bit of twinging behind my left eye so I'd better shut down the computer. Maybe today I'll be able to at least focus on a book?

Have you tried to get to the root of what causes your migraines? I've had migraines twice a week between puberty and menopause, but eventually, when I was like 40, my doc and discovered the thing that could stop them happening. In my case it was anti-epilepsy meds (go figure).

I still remember how debilitating the migraines were - I missed weddings and stuff because of them - so I always jump into threads about them. Sorry if this is unsolicited advice.

Oh JESUS. Two A WEEK? I don't know that I would survive that. Seriously, mad respect to you.

Mine aren't technically/standard migraines, they're sinus migraines and from what I can tell, they're mostly caused by rapid major weather changes and/or possibly environmental allergens. Or maybe sunspots, idk. I went through a period of about five years hopping from doctor to doctor and nobody figured anything out (kinda like the rest of my health issues). It got expensive and discouraging so now I just hunker down and bear them (kinda like the rest of my health issues).

i sincerely hope your migraines let up. my life consisted of almost weekly pressure headaches when i lived on the east coast, and the disruption they brought into my life was exhausting. *hugs*

The ao3 thing is terrible indeed. Okay, it's not a high bandwidth site, so circumventing it might be possible for Chinese authors, but I also think a lot of them will delete their accounts. very bad all around. :(
