It's been a month
Guardian/adjacent:
Fanart: soft Zhao Yunlan. Sketches and moods. Bites. ZYL and Da Qing. Kunlun.
The moment Shen Wei wakes up with amnesia in a fic somewhere.
Secret ops Zhubai AU.
A new Zhu Yilong L'Oreal campaign that is apparently going to be four "films" but not sure I like the direction they're going. Am loving the direction the wardrobe department went tho.
More astounding cosplay.
Zhu Yilong looks so good in pink and his hand placement here is killing me.
This is on Tumblr, but y'all Xiao Zhan fans should probably check this out.
Today is my one-month anniversary of being in lockdown. Things aren't great. McKitterick and I are getting on each other's nerves. I went to my bedroom at 8:15 last night and didn't come out until 10 this morning and only then bc I said I'd do a favor for someone and needed to get on my laptop which was downstairs. I have officially entered the "shit I woke up again" stage so that's always a good time.
In the plus column, I got both worksurfaces of the studio cleaned so can start cutting fabric for masks. As soon as I've got some stamina stored up, I can start cutting. Time to start using that stash of novelty cottons since I don't know that Cheeptrims is ever gonna have my Venise lace back in stock. I've tried other styles for my bloomers but none that I've tried work as well and I'm tired of buying 30 yards of a lace style that gets all gross and wrinkly when laundered.

And yeah, I'm not really liking the new L'Oreal thing ... Maybe it'll end up not as bad as it looks, but I'm not holding my breath. But I do like the mini-movie approach. More commercials should do that!
Thank you for the links again!

And augh, 30 days...! And that stage does NOT sound great. But nothing wrong with you and your housepartner ignoring each other for a bit?

I keep reminding myself we're only seven months post-break-up and we've been living together pretty much the whole time. It's a miracle we're doing this well, tbh.

It really is! Seven months post-breakup I had moved to the other side of the world, so in my perspective you are both CHAMPIONS.

Here at my house, we've started "retiring for the evening," at any point after 5 pm. That, and wandering around while wearing headphones, which means much the same thing.

Masks
My sewing skills are novice at best, but I have learned a lot from YouTube and from screwing things up and having to rip out the stitches and do it over! I am making the kind of masks that tie, because I couldn't buy any elastic. I have made yards and yards of 1/2 inch bias tape for the straps (Double-folded to 1/4 inch, what a pain in the ass!). I didn't even know what bias tape was before I started making masks! The gals at Sarah's fabrics have been very helpful, but I have learned the most from trial and error!
Re: Masks
Trial and error really is the best way to learn, anyway. Congratulations on the sewing!

I saw in other comments that things were better with McKitterick today, and I'm glad to hear it; I know rough days are inevitable, given everything, but I hope they're as infrequent as possible.
Yay for getting the worksurfaces cleared! ^_^

I should get a photo of the clean tables while they're in this state...

The pink one is indeed yummy!

I know, wtf, right? What a novel idea, making products that make women look less wrinkly? Wtf even. (I especially cackled at all the other women in that ad who ostensibly followed the wrinkle-dogma but had no wrinkles at all. Lalala.) Why did I even watch this? Oh, right, because there are two seconds of Zhu Yilong in it. /o\
I admit love that still of him in his slightly oversized shirt, too.
I have officially entered the "shit I woke up again" stage so that's always a good time.
Awwww. *hugs*

We're all there with ya.
