We watched The Old Guard last night and it gets a definite stamp of approval from me. I am a notoriously picky consumer of media, so when my biggest gripe about a show is about a plot point I thought they could have handled better but isn't actually a plot hole and I have no complaints about a diverse group of characters? It's pretty good. I, uh... might be inspired to write at least one fic (Joe and Nicky as well as a possible? crossover? with John Wick?). Don't, like, put bets on it or anything, but the ideas are there.

Speaking of John Wick, though, I did say at one point "boy we sure got spoiled by the filming of John Wick's action scenes." Enough with the shaky cuts in fight scenes, people, come on!

And now I dive back into Deconstruction revisions.

I've always thought that they're his prettiest feature, and what drew me to him in the first place. Very few artworks do them sufficient justice imo, but wow, that piece is beautiful and comes close to capturing them perfectly. <3
