Writing is incredibly slow right now, but I managed another 800 words this week on The Wooing of Raymond Kowalski. Here's 100 of them!
Ray yelled at Sandor’s retreating back for a beer. He wasn’t gonna let Fraser mistakenly think he’d given up all his bad habits. Instead of chiding him for rudeness, Fraser gave Ray an indulgent smile. His eyes shone in the candlelight and for a moment, Ray just stared. Goddamn, Fraser was good-looking.
Ray grinned back and shifted on the hard wooden seat of the ancient chair. He’d always aimed out of his league, but, like his mom said, he had a good batting average. And unlike those losers in the National League, Ray could pitch with the best of them.
