All set, kinda

Let me say, I have the best friends ever. Thank you all so much for the beautiful, supportive comments regarding the audition. I didn't respond individually because that would have been overkill. But I do appreciate the wonderful things that each of you said. Thank you so very much.

Last night I went home and sang for nearly two hours. I didn't blow the voice, but I was starting to feel it near the end. I'm only going to do three songs instead of four (you know, as long as they don't stop me halfway through the first and say "Ok thanks don't call us we'll call you"). "Bring Me to Life," "Criminal," and "Hit Me With Your Best Shot." The first for my high range, the second for my middle range, and the third because damn I can hit that last note hard.

Lots of Throat Coat tea and water today.

I'd also like to help spread the word about Sorry Everybody. Gallery pages start here. It's guaranteed to cause sniffles, but at the same time gives one hope. The photos of people from other countries saying "We don't hate you all" are particularly touching. Thanks to roya_spirit for the links.

As for the throat, a wonderful opera professor from Arizona State once taught me to use pineapple juice to soothe the savage voice. Something about the enzymes in the pineapple help the larnyx recover from stress.
