Updating from Wichita

Dudes! Wichita!

Had a grand time today toodling around This Fair City. Made some purchases at Jo-Ann Fabrics (shut up all ya'll) and found some beads at a store that was going out of business. The beads are going to be used on the next cabaret costume...I'm very excited about that, as should everyone. It's going to rock. Black and lime green. Quite a departure from my standard costume.

This afternoon, Barbara (rorschachsix's mom) showed me and Amy some of the ins and outs of sewing with knits. It's not too bad if you have all the right hints and gadgets. I am now the proud owner of a sexy see-through pink knit top. Not quite sure where that's gonna get worn, but I'm pretty pleased with it.

We're waiting for Amy to finish up her top now. Then off to dinner and tonight we're learning a special technique of braiding satin ribbon. Goddess love Barbara and her knowledge of all things crafty.

nuthin' wrong with jo-anns! i just scored some really fun polar fleece there (see pics of doll to be posted later!) even wally world has good stuff these days...they had THE most amazing fake fur there...you couldn't tell it wasn't real...looks and feels like the real thing.

i wish i had someone to show me something beyond the simplest basics of sewing!

oh, i keep meaning to ask you...and then forgetting to...are you familiar with the work of michael manning? (cathexis/spider garden/etc)

oh my god thats a name I haven't heard of in YEARS!!! LOL.
I use to talk to him on the phone for work stuff, and met him in person a few times.That was years ago, but weird to see that name again!

i'm assuming (perhaps incorrectly) that this was for the dom work? is he still doing anything? i haven't seen anyhting new from him in quite some time, other than tranceptor.

most importantly, tho...is he cute? (sorry, i love me a guy who pays as much attention to the boys as the girls!)

Actually it was because of the store I worked at (anubis warpus) and we'd buy his books and prints and whatnots... I haven't heard anything new from in a while either, I don't know what hes up to now!!

oh and cute...well....no he's not LOL. I got the impression he THOUGHT he was the cats meow but he wasn't. He wasn't bad looking but not the Fabio impression he gave of himself. He would have been much cuter if he were nicer! Very middle of the road looking.....
Now if he had looked like Kyan from Queer Eye, he coulda been rude as hell to me and I wouldn't have cared!!!!LOL

it's always sad when it's the personality that makes or breaks it! i've seen the most "ho-hum" human go to instantly sexy with just a few words, and, sadly, the opposite as well! are you familiar with china meville? now THERE'S cuteness and smartness combined into a mindboggling package!

so, which one is kyan? (no cable here!) is he the kinda latin, shorter one?

oh, and LOVE the name "anubis warpus!"
