I feel like I'm not going to be able to breathe until Ossoff's results are final. And I know, I know! that our government, regardless of party, isn't interested in saving us, not really. But if we can get McConnell out of that seat maybe we can at least get a drink of water and brush ourselves off before resuming the fight. Ugh. Okay, moving on.
Riding the high of Monday's bed victory, I've decided I'm gonna try recording podfic. eeeeek!
All thanks for this is entirely due tonaye. I listened to her 14-hour gift of Twist of the Kaleidoscope over three days while my eyes were hurting and realized how listening to the words instead of reading them let my brain play out the images of what was happening and it was lovely! I don't plan to adopt podfic consumption as a regular alternative to reading because I'll never be able to listen while I'm doing literally anything else but I definitely get the idea better, now. (I envy the people who can clean or exercise or drive or whatever while they're listening to audiobooks and such)
I'm super duper nervous about name pronunciation though. Way more nervous than I am about reading porn. If there's anyone who'd be willing to coach me over the phone on how to correctly say the names of Guardian characters (or make a close enough attempt), please let me know. I know there are recorded guides out there, but I don't trust my own ear to recognize when I'm doing it right. This all hinges on if I can find someone to help me with that.
