Sunday Snippet, et. al.
I think I posted about that line you call and they record your scream? Pretty sure this one is me.
I've resumed some of the PT exercises, only now I'm doing them on knees and elbows instead of hands and knees. My fire hydrant is really coming along. I can hold my knee higher and for longer than when I started. Progress is encouraging.
I also got some writing done last night! Very exciting. More from Good Intentions:
“So,” said Zhao Yunlan, vaguely waving a ketchup-dipped fry before shoving it in his mouth, “This egg-dropping thing seems to be a common project. Anybody already done it?”
“Pretty sure you’re the only one who hasn’t,” said Chu Nianzhi with a snort, briefly turning away from his conversation with the chubby, dark-skinned girl who’d won most of his attention. “Delinquent,” he murmured at her with a wink.
“I heard that,” Zhao Yunlan said, still chewing, and threw a fry at Nianzhi’s head.
Chu Shuzhi’s hand shot out to intercept the fry. Eyes narrowed, he pointed it at Zhao Yunlan before eating it. “No more food fights,” he muttered.

I always headcanon him as the snarky one. Writing him into my Pacific Rim AU was the best idea I ever had - except he and Shuzhi are the only ones I want to write about now! Lol!

It's what I'd like to do with an Inception AU someday. When my brain isn't engaged with three (three! 😫) longfics.

You just inspired me! I was thinking about this AU (which I haven't done in a while) and then another kiss fic came into my head! It's only a few hundred words, but words are words!

And also, I very much want to know more about this Inception AU idea!

Isn't an Inception AU perfect for the SID? I feel like so many of the characters could serve in secondary roles, too, which would make their team very, very good. Shen Wei's obviously a Point Man who can serve as a back-up Forger in a pinch. Zhao Yunlan is an Extractor who can be an Architect but he doesn't like it much. Zhu Hong is equally good at being a Chemist and Extractor. Da Qing is a Forger and that's all he does because he's lazy but he's also very good.
I waffle about whom to cast as their main Architect. Process of Elimination would point to it being Chu Shuzhi but I don't know that it fits him--although perhaps it does? IDK. And where does Guo Changcheng fit in? If you're ever interested in tossing ideas at me, I'm all ears even though none of it will see the light of day for a while.

I could see Guo Changcheng coming in as the new architect to the team.
He sees the world in a different way to the others, and has some very definite opinions on the way things should be, even if he doesn't necessarily have the confidence to state those ideas out loud.
I think he'd need someone (Chu Shuzhi) as a support person, who can reassure him that what he's doing is good and to be that confidence that he doesn't always have in himself. Chu Shuzhi could even follow him in-dream and be almost like a bodyguard there.
