So I just had a thought...
I'm not proud of some of my coping mechanisms but I'm also unashamed about using them when needs must. I realize though, that some people might not have similar relationships with their demons. So please tell me if it bothers you when I talk about substance use and, if so, how you'd like me to deal with it when posting here.

But I’m really good at scrolling past posts that don’t tickle my fancy.
(I have no idea what the point of this reply was.)

And I do care about you, so if it ever starts to affect you negatively, and use becomes abuse, I would certainly be bothered. But as long as it's safe to your quality of life, it's fine with me. I think it's good to communicate and keep track of actually, and definitely encourage you to keep writing it all down. <3

Although both my grandfathers had some issues with alcohol (maternal side much worse), I seem to have largely escaped any genetic predisposition to addiction. I've been a pretty-much-daily dope-smoker and/or drinker for, uh... 25+ years? 😂 I used to pick up my cigarettes every spring and easily put them down when winter got too chilly (I never smoked tobacco in my home). I even ditched sugar with minimal difficulties. I'm very lucky!
