Friday--and about damn time

First, a small announcement: I won't be going to Sellout tonight. Just tomorrow. Tonight I'm staying in with my cat, who is going through a small amount of trauma. But I will be at the Jazzhaus with bells on for Saturday.

This is the last call for cocoa and chex mix requests. I've got [livejournal.com profile] stuology and [livejournal.com profile] starstraf down for cocoa, and [livejournal.com profile] solan_t (edit: and [livejournal.com profile] starstraf) down for chex mix. Last chance, folks, let me know.

I am sick to tears of joke Twelve Days of Christmas songs. The original is bad enough, but to sit through twelve decreasingly funny verses is pure hell. The only version that's vaguely bearable is the one on the Muppets Christmas album with John Denver. I always thought it was hysterical that Gonzo got to sing the part about the French Hens.

This weekend I must:
  • Pick up sewing machine from repair shop
  • Go to Sam's Club
  • Grocery shop
  • Photograph items to sell on eBay, maybe even get some things listed
  • Arrange sewing area into useable formation

Of course, that's in addition to going out dancing Saturday and general weekend crap one never counts on. Wish me luck.

    1. If you have a phobia (or something close to one), what is it? Drowning--it's not a phobia since I can get in water without completely freaking out, but I'm terribly uncomfortable.
    2. How long have you had the phobia (or something close to it)? Ever since I can remember
    3. If you know anyone with a phobia (or something close to it), how does s/he act when s/he is experiencing it? Dunno that I know anyone with an acute fear. Or if I do, I don't know they have it.
    4. What is one phobia you would wish not to have? I would be very sad if I developed anthropophobia since I love being around people.
    5. What is one phobia you wouldn't mind having, if you were to face one? Fear of drowning isn't bad. I'm used to it by now.
[livejournal.com profile] fridayfiver is incredibly amusing to me this week:
    1. Describe your current love life: New, exciting, rewarding, unusual
    2. Are you a monogomist? Er. Depends on your definition, I suppose.
    3. If you could, how would you change your current love life? It'd be nice if I didn't have to interrupt it by going to work.
    4. Worst. Pick-up Line. Ever: I've never had a pickup line used on me. I have gotten good mileage out of "Hey baby, you got the time?" but apparently guys are easy and not choosy about how you pick them up.
    5. If this one celebrity asked you out, they might possibly have the power to pull you away from any current relationship(s): For more than 24 hours? Not likely. But Alan Rickman ranks pretty damn high on the Wouldn't-Mind-Fucking List.

EDIT: Just found something on [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes that really needs to be shared with the world. Green Eggs and Ham, LOTR style. Oh, just click and read for godssake.

So did Gonzo want to fuck the chickens or eat them?

    [identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2004-12-03 07:48 am (UTC)(link)
His girlfriends were always chickens...what? Didn't you watch the TV show???

    [identity profile] fantomas71.livejournal.com 2004-12-03 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
Well, the thing is I can't remember if his harem of fuckin' chickens were things he ate or not. So you're saying he fucked the chickens. That's your position?

    [identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2004-12-03 07:56 am (UTC)(link)
I'm saying he had romantic designs on the chickens. I'm not certain either Gonzo or the chickens had anatomies required for the actual act.

My position, now. Well, that's sort of personal, isn't it?

Well, someone is ready for the weekend! ;)

    [identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2004-12-03 08:17 am (UTC)(link)
    Always.

    [identity profile] chronovore.livejournal.com 2004-12-03 07:55 am (UTC)(link)
If gonzo was considerate, he did the latter prior to the former.

    [identity profile] fantomas71.livejournal.com 2004-12-03 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
Agreed. Although Gonzo would appear to me to have been very, very strange. I wouldn't rule anything out.

    Yup.

One assumes that nose could tickle all kinds of places.

    [identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2004-12-03 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, sorry. I missed the part about you wanting chex mix, too. You're added now! Thanks.

I'm sorry I won't see you tonight, so I will see you tomorrow night instead. :)

    I'd be interested in cocoa!

    [identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2004-12-03 12:20 pm (UTC)(link)
How am I supposed to get the cocoa to you? This stuff weighs a ton. It'd be super expensive to ship. Or would you like me to just hold a bag for you until your next visit? That would be fine. It doesn't go bad.
