HR emailed me the contract for my job (MY JOB) this morning and friends, let me tell you the pleasure of signing a state job contract that contains the words "Not Contingent On Funding."

Went for indoor drinks at a local speakeasy last night. We basically reserved the entire bar and it was entirely worth it. On a trip to the bathroom one of our party reported that the staff was talking amongst themselves how much they appreciated our laughter. It was so, so good and miraculously I don't have a hangover today. Mezcal for the win, seriously.

I'm heading back downtown later this morning to see if any of the local shops might have something I can add to my work wardrobe. It's already 81F at 8:30a so I hope I don't collapse of heat exhaustion.

I actually had no problem with the super short hair - that is exactly the length that is softest for petting. (I say from experience with petting my own hair when it's that length, lol)

Yes, that was the only thing that saved it for me, was the idea of the peachfuzz feel. But with no actually being able to pet said hair? It loses a lot of the appeal for me. *cough*

I'm behind the times in commenting, but congratulations once again on signing your very well-designed contract! Also glad you are getting to go out and have fun and making other people happy in the process, right on. Keep us posted on new clothes, etc.

(Zhu Yilong's buzzcut-and-mustache thing is 180° off from my tastes and is making me sad, but I expect I'll get used to it. I've already gotten to the point where his The Rebel look is producing the familiar "oh my god how is he so beautiful" effect, even when he's being hopelessly self-conscious about dancing...).

Yes, yes there are. I don't even know, because mustache, but the package deal definitely works waaaay better than I'd expected. O_O (Although, why is he lying in a bathtub/wash basin??)

I have such a weakness for smarmy men, and yeah, that combo on him delivers. Also, put just about anyone fully clothed in a bathtub photo shoot and I am All Over It Yes Please.
