I so much love the character marycrawford created here and the way Shen Wei interacts with him.

Many (many) years ago I attended the Bat Mitzvah of a friend's daughter (and wound up serving as an impromptu bartender bc I'm That Friend). This morning I attended (remotely) the Simchat Ben for her and her wife's new baby. 🧡 There were over a hundred people on the Zoom call and it was wonderful to see so much support for their family.

It was already a rough day for me emotionally and now I am very lonely. I'm not prepared to head into another winter of isolation (and, I'm sorry I know I sound like a broken record here, no sexual intimacy). KU finally instituted a mask mandate that goes into effect on Monday and while that's very good news indeed, it was a wake-up call that my window of finding a make-out partner has closed.

Not doing well with that, tbh.

I'm finding it especially frustrating now because we would be doing better if so many people weren't being swayed by misinformation and paranoia against taking the vaccine. I really thought we'd be on the upswing and now it's...*flails*
