Hellbent is go

Late Sunday night I got a flash of inspiration for Hellbent*. The reveal scene popped into my head and I jotted down a few notes before falling asleep. Started writing on Monday and passed 6k words this morning. It feels amazing to write like this again (although I overdid it the first two days--yesterday was rough and I barely fed myself much less wrote). I think I'm gonna put Redemption on hiatus for the foreseeable future. It's too emotionally close to my current situation and I didn't realize how engaging with that so intimately was draining me.

So I'm back to writing snarky banter between BFFs and it's like I'm writing Ghost Story again. It's fun and rewarding and making me feel good instead of just tired. Da Qing doesn't figure much in this fic so Chu Shuzhi is stepping up fill out the (very much platonic) found family threesome. I'm having a great time with it.

Reminder that my link dumps still go up every Thursday, even when I'm not posting much here.
