Rapture

If you've haven't read/started to read ratbones's epic Guardian AU Rapture I encourage you to hie yourself to AO3 so you can rectify that as soon as possible. I was honestly angry that I was too tired to finish it in one day and had to read the first two chapters this morning. It's rated M for violence (no sex), 103k, and tagged cyberpunk but imo it's more straight-up hard SF.

So engrossing, so plotty, so full of heartbreak and triumph and AUGH *clutches chest while simultaneously making chef's kiss motion*

12/10 recommend.

I am mindblown that you read this monster so quickly! Working on something for like 16 months and then seeing someone blast through it in a day and a half is extremely gratifying. Like, I'm just glad it holds together enough for that. <3 Thank you!

I'm a VERY fast reader 😅 The only reason I didn't finish in one day is my fatigue is so bad I only have about 10-15 minutes of focus at a time before I have to take a break.

It holds together beautifully. Seriously, you are really, really good at plotting and action. Not to put down my own writing (we all have our own strengths), but I could never write anything that structurally involved. So impressive. Massive kudos.

Oh man, it's like reading sprints. The fatigue sounds like a REAL pain (I'm much slower and would never get anything read at all like that.)
