Picked up my books from the library and it wiped me out. Like, I'm actually gonna need to lie down for a while. 😩 Probably shouldn't have showered and run an errand on the same day but I really wanted to get my books and I put off showering yesterday, so... sigh

Something happened with my reserve request and Wintering wasn't available so I got Entangled Life: How Fungi Make Our Worlds, Change Our Minds & Shape Our Futures instead.

goss informed me it's National Handwriting Day in the US. I have three fairly distinct handwriting styles--my pretty cursive that I use for writing letters and notes to myself, the spiky-messy style I use for visual texture in art projects, and the print I use for addressing envelopes. These are a little messier than usual because I'm tired (especially the print) but close enough they're all recognizable as mine.

wow. Those are very distinct. My handwriting just varies in legibility, depending on if I am in a hurry. I guess all caps is a style too--when it *has* to be legible.

Interesting how these vary so much in style, but seem to all flow pretty naturally - almost like each has its own personality. I'd have had a hard time picking which you use for note-taking and which for more deliberate presentation.

The spiky one definitely takes more effort/focus, even though it's the quickest. It too easily turns into an illegible scrawl. The pretty one is the most natural/easiest even though it's the slowest. They all degrade pretty dramatically when my hand gets tired, though.

I love the idea of them each having their own personality!
