Friday. I never thought I'd make it.
What a long week. And this morning, exhausted. Got home late last night, had discomforting dreams, overslept this morning, and barely made it to campus in time to get a parking spot. In fact, the only reason I got one was someone had left. Had to drive instead of walk 'cos I have a doctor appointment this afternoon about my wrist. It's bothering me a lot lately. I'm hoping for a referral to physical therapy so I can try this shock treatment stuff that
mckitterick used.

1. What is the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for you? Not sure if I'd recognize it if I saw it. I'm not terribly romantic, myself.
2. Who was your first love? I was pretty fond of my boyfriend my senior year of high school.
3. Chocolates, flowers, or something else? A gift certificate for a pedicure is always appreciated.
4. Do you believe in love at first sight? Nope.
5. What do you have planned for this Valentine's Day? Yoga class.

1. Would you rather live in a world with or without technology such as computers, cars, airplanes, bombs? With. Please maude, with. A world with no computers? Augh! Think of the limits that would put on my shopping habits.
2. If you had to live without either heating in your house or air conditioning, which one would you keep? Are you kidding? I'm miserable in a cold house, even in the summer.
3. If you had to own five dogs, what kind would you get? Stuffed ones?
4. If the world had a front porch, what would you do on it? Sit on the swing with my friends, drink margaritas in the hot summer evenings, and watch the neighbors pass by.
5. Would you rather live in a neighborhood where you know all of your neighbors by name, or where everyone sticks to their own business? I think having friendly neighbors would be fun. Provided they're not axe murderers, gossips, or Fred Phelps followers.

1. Would you say that you have a 'belief system' or a collection of random philosophies?Pretty random, but I generally live by the idea "What comes around goes around."
2. Have you ever protested? What was it for? Like in a march or organized public demonstration? No. But I'm a frequent letter-writer to politicians and I protest stupidity on a daily basis.
3. What prevents you from protesting more often or on more subjects? I'm selfish with my time and I'd rather take part in activism that fits my schedule.
4. Can you see a time in your life where you might become an activist? It looms terribly close, I fear.
5. Is there anything you believe in so passionately that people who don't see it appear short-sighted to you? The preservation of basic civil liberties is terribly obvious to me, but the current presidential administration seems to disagree.
EDIT: I forgot to post these links to videos earlier. An unnerving update to Singing in the Rain, and a (German?) television ad for Coke that features rockabillies from the VLV rockabilly weekender here. Damn that second ad makes me really want to go to VLV this year. Sigh.
