What to do when the lights go out
Most of campus just spent an hour and a half milling around because of an electrical outtage. I guess it affected parts of Lawrence, too. Someone heard that a transformer at 19th and Ousdahl caught fire. Nice. Ask me if I'm at all interested in getting back to work after futzing around for ninety minutes. At least I got some exercise walking around campus.
A word from someone with more polite sense than someone else in the office today: If you know someone accidentally took too many muscle relaxants and couldn't get out of her bathtub without calling for help and had to be taken (no doubt terribly embarrassed and scared) to the emergency room, please do not call people and say "So and so overdosed." That's not nice. Not to mention inaccurate. Sometimes people in my office amaze me. Similarly, of course, I ask my gentle readers to avoid coming into my office and saying "so who's the person telling people someone overdosed?"
Thank you.

Used my "lunch hour" to pass out cold for an hour.
Got back on up to do DBwork and study.
