Just venting
I am struggling to engage with my story today. I'm not a pantser exactly, but my outlines are largely based on the MC's emotional journey not necessarily the events that trigger them. So most of my writing difficulties stem from not knowing what event needs to take place next. Today though, I know exactly what needs to happen, as well as the Artis' emotional response, and the fallout from that decision. Putting it into words feels like walking through syrup, though. Due to other obligations I haven't made much progress in two days and I really want/need to break through this.
ughhhhhhhhhh
Just. Gotta. Do. It.
Sometimes those reminders that writing is A Job really suck.

(also, you know! you know what's gonna happen! that's the BEST and makes everything SO much easier)

If it helps, I have a story due on the 24th and I only just kinda figured out what needs to happen and the opening is completely overwritten and there are some logistical things that are driving me a bit bonkers. Also it is set in Victorian England and it feels like every sentence (including a bunch I've cut) requires a lot of Googling to avoid anachronisms.
Okay, rephrasing. *waves pompoms* WE CAN DO IT!
