At least I'm not selling it for cheap
Holy Crap. Suddenly I am less upset about selling my childhood. Damn, I never expected to get that much for them. Now if someone would just bid on the Sashas!
thefridayfive from last week:
1. What foods did you eat growing up that you later found out were regional items? (specific brands or recipes that you thought everyone could buy or make) You apparently can't get RC everywhere in the states, but other than that...
2. Ham or turkey at Christmas and Easter? Or was there some other main course not typical for your area or religion? Ham! Turkey only for Thanksgiving.
3. What was your favorite meal served at your elementary school? I didn't have one. I despised cafeteria food and usually brought my own lunch.
4. What family recipes have been handed down to you, and have you tweaked any of them a little bit to make them more yours? I make mom's tuna broccoli casserole pretty much exactly as she made it. My favorite!
5. Are there foods/recipes you wouldn't eat as a child that you now regularly enjoy? No, I've pretty much always eaten everything put in front of me and I doubt that's likely to change.
fridayfiver from this week:
1. Name someone dead that you'd like to have drinks with: My gramma.
2. What's your favorite scary movie? Alien and John Carpenter's The Thing are my favorite modern monster movies. I don't really like scary movies, though.
3. After you've passed away, who will say the nicest things about you? If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all, folks.
4. What did you think of Peter Jennings? I didn't. We're not really a TV news sorta family.
5. Name a Grateful Dead song: Geez...um...without Googling it? I have no idea. Not my style of music.
This is a sewing weekend, so I hope to get the vast majority of work on my garb done by Sunday evening. Ya'll wish me luck.
Oh, and it looks like we'll be at Aladdin's on Thursday, September 1. I'll post another announcement closer to the date.
EDIT: Did anyone else know that the "Patriot Act"'s real name is actually an acronym? USAPATRIOT Act: Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act. Vomit
