New look

I was finishing up the tea-timer outfit (a long, close-fitting Chinese-style blouse usually worn with capris or a pencil skirt) for Adam and Abygail's wedding and although I'm not happy with the size of it, it fits well and looks good. And after spending the last two months in my overalls, it makes me feel nice to wear something that is pretty and feminine.

I was thinking, maybe I should go ahead and make myself some clothes for my current shape, despite my hopes that it will be returning to a previous form soon. Maybe hiding in baggy clothes and overalls is only discouraging me from getting back into shape. Maybe if I have some cute outfits that I feel good in, I'll feel better about myself--which will encourage me to eat better and be more faithful to my gym membership.

So! This weekend, off to the fabric store for some larger size patterns, and into the fabric stash to dig out some stretch twill for capris and maybe a couple skirts. Style world, I return.

Seconded! You are also welcome to go through my pattern stash, who knows if there is anything you would be interested in, but it would be fun, and I am a larger size than you so the pattern sizes would be bigger. I collect patterns like other people collect stamps.

And go gym go! I am trying to start a health kick too, so feel for ya there!

Wow! I would love to dig through your patterns. That would be so wonderful. When Ms. Kij returns, perhaps we can gather at your place to look at patterns and coo over your lovely new home furnishings. Sounds fun! I'm there with you on the pattern collecting. Well, you've seen my collection...at least the ones I have up on the website. I have about another 50 that I haven't filed yet.

Hee hee, yes and yes.
And it will give me a real reason to move all the patterns to one place- right now half are at home, half at the shop, so it is a bit of a crapshoot as to what is where.

And oh yes home furnishings- seems we have more than sewing in common :D

Call me re: the OP trip. I have a Saturday wedding to attend, but if we go Sunday, it's a possibility.
