Insert clever Friday title here

Adam's service yesterday evening was really good. I'm glad I went. It was harder than I'd thought it would be. I'm usually ok with my own internal feelings, but it's really hard for me to see other people cry. But yeah, I'm glad I went.

On a lighter note (ar ar ar--this is a pun, keep reading): even after making a complete piggy of myself at India Palace yesterday with [livejournal.com profile] adammaker, I am still down over a pound to 141. So this morning I treated myself to a breakfast biscuit sammich from Chik-fil-A. I never thought I'd see the day when I did everything I could (within reason) to keep the scale from going below 140. But with six more weekends of faire to go, I can't afford to lose any weight at this point. I am not, I repeat not re-doing my bodices this year. No. No no no.

I was hoping the Mustang would be done for the weekend, but alas, it won't be. The shop has to find a new cable for the parking brake. Boo, hiss. The guy was really nice, though, and said he'd park it inside during the weekend, in case it rains.

And I'm going to be spending money I don't have on some fabulous nose jewelry because damn it, I deserve some sparkly in my life right now. Check these out. And they do custom stuff, which is what I'm ordering, so I can get the designs and stones that I want. Specifically, I'm getting this design in white gold with a dark red garnet, and this design in yellow gold with a rust-colored garnet center and CZ petals. Pretty, pretty.

A rather nice [livejournal.com profile] fridayfiver, I thought.
Name your favorite....
1. Soothing sound: My kitten purring on my chest.
2. Comfort food: Used to be Dolly Madison Powdered Sugar Gem Donuts, but they really don't do it for me anymore, alas. I'm not sure what's going to take their place.
3. Relaxing music: Peter Gabriel's Passion is good. I've also been listening to Govinda's Erotic Rhythms of the Earth, which isn't nearly as *erotic* as I'd hoped, but is very pretty.
4. Gentle voice: My nana.
5. Calming smell: *grin* That's a secret.

Tonight: Laundry and perhaps some picture-hanging. The fun doesn't stop!

Gods bless the person who got that screen capture.

Pretty--makes me want to re-pierce my nose now that I can afford jewelery. I still have Lou (my favorite ring), too.

Sparkly things on your nose might not be something you want with a babe-in-arms.

lmao
