The holiday season: good or bad for eBay sellers?

I've got some stuff that I'd really like to get rid of, but if the holiday shopping season isn't good on eBay, I'll wait.

Things on my Sell Pile:

Unworn Dickies jeans

Longaberger baskets

Disney VHS videos

(Yeah, I know I've been saying I was gonna list this stuff for months. Life. In the way. Busy. Ack.)

I've done pretty well getting it up within a week of Thanksgiving. Folks are still shopping and there is easily enough time for shipping by Christmas. I've found January and February to be a bit slow for selling. Not to bad for picking up bargains however :).

Sure will! Although, honestly, if you're talking about the Disney videos, I'd be happy to sell 'em to ya cheap (read: pay postage) and save me the time listing them.

There's only a couple I have that I know are worth $$$. The others I just want off my shelves since I don't even own a VHS player anymore.

Not apropos of this in the slightest, but I have a really quick thesis-related question for you...

If I approach someone off-campus about being on my thesis committee, what should I tell him is involved in that? I mean, what kind of time commitment or what not? Is there any benefit to *him* aside from the joy of helping me out?
