That felt GREAT!

I just stapled my pinkie finger! Fan-tastic!

I highly recommend the experience to anyone. Anyone, I tell you. Yowza!

These noises I am making.. they don't sound so fun.

you SURE this is a fun thing to do?

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-01-04 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah. Definitely. Everyone should try it at least once.

OOH, I have done that! Right in front of a classroom full of students, I put a staple all the way into my thumb. I stared at it a moment knowing I would have to pull it out. The shock, the disbelief, the pain! And I couldn't swear! I said, as I yanked on the staple, "Wow... That really hurts like... That really hurts!"

Love the icon.

And yeah. I'm alone in the office, but I didn't swear, really. I said something like "mmmnngggaaaahssshhhaaa!"

Way back when, I ran a sewing machine over my pinkie.
I think I'll let that count for this, and avoid the Stapler for the rest of the day.

(owwwwwwwwwwwwwww!)

Yeah, I've done the sewing machine-finger thing, too. This wasn't *nearly* so bad. At least this I could pull out the offending object without going to the emergency room.

Gack! That is teh gr0$s. So sorry, boo-boo.

And I wasn't anywhere near?
You're right, I just have clumsy friends.

:kisses on your lil pinkie:

To my knowledge, I am the only professional seamstress or costumer who has *not* sewn through a finger.

...which was stupid of me to post, because how that I have, I'll undoubtedly go right out and do just that. And I have this shiny industrial serger that would do it up right. And trim it while I'm at it, too.

Sorry, it hurts! I've cut myself, burned myself, stabbed myself...all manner of klutzy things but never once have I staples or sewn myself. Um, handsewing doesn't count.

Hell, I'm not a professional and I've done it.

It really really really sucked, too.

[identity profile] rowangolightly.livejournal.com 2006-01-04 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Vincent Scassalati has done it and he's my idol. I'm happy to take everybody's word that it hurts, really I am!

I did the sewing machine thing too, so I'll skip the stapler exploits. But thanks for your suggestion. Office-based body piercing just isn't something I wish to explore right now.

Kisses to make it better

You forgot to brag about the sewing machine incident when you sewed through your finger and, though wounded still saved the bridesmade dress from ruin AND finished it bandaged. You're a great friend even in injury.

Ah yes. That was one of my shining moments.
