I hate this

I'm afraid to eat my lunch. Boo.

I understand COMPLETELY! *HUG* I'm sorry...

[identity profile] nottygypsy.livejournal.com 2006-02-10 06:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I wonder, rather than what you ate, is it because you are not eating as regularly as you should?

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-02-10 06:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope. I'm eating regular meals, even if they're on the small side. And this was identical to the episode several months ago. That what concerns me most: Repeat Offense.

Boo then, big boo, be better

This is not a recomended weight loss diet. No sirree.

Could it be the richness of the food? I have noticed that if I don't have rich food for a while (can anyone say 'diet'? I thought you could.) then just a little bit of something rich will totally upset my digestive system, and that sounds like the pattern you described.

Which is a long winded way of saying 'if that's true, then a non-rich lunch is safe. Go on - make your stomach stop growling."

Better to put something in your stomach, my dear. Not fun, but try something more bland and non-threatening.

I suggest porridge. MmmMmm. Nobody's allergic to porridge! It's filled with wholesome goodness!

I was afraid to eat lunch once. I was sharing a sushi boat with Marz, and something had tentacles. I was araid that it would wrestle the chopsticks away from me and put up a fight.
Once they get hold of a weapon, sushi is especially dangerous.

"When lunch fights back, next on Springer." (still chortling here.)

[identity profile] verminiusrex.livejournal.com 2006-02-10 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
I should have suspected something when it's labeled "Sushi Suprise".

Hey CR, if you're actually hungry but afraid you'll upchuck, try unsalted soda crackers or a piece of plain bread. These soak up whatever is making you urp and after a while you can procede with heavier food.

I'm worried about the 'sharp stomach pain' and 'this happened before' thing. Have you talked to your gp?

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-02-10 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Unfortunately, it's not a nausea thing. Sad when I'd prefer that, isn't it? This is "just" pain. I haven't talked to a doctor yet. If it happens once more, that'll do it for me. Yuck.

[identity profile] redheadfae.livejournal.com 2006-02-10 10:50 pm (UTC)(link)
There have been some very nasty tummy bugs going around, some of which have also been described as painful.

Poor baby. Hope it's better by tomorrow.

[identity profile] sagendal.livejournal.com 2006-02-10 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Did it scare you? Because sometimes my lunches scare me.

[identity profile] pointoforigin.livejournal.com 2006-02-11 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
Waah! I, too, feel for you. It's bad when your food hurts you. When we lived in Texas, I had a pain that I was sure was an ulcer. The stoopid doctor condescendingly tried to brush me off with "It's heartburn." "I KNOW what heartburn is," I growled. "And this isn't it!" I pointed to where the pain was, and he muttered (being a Texan) "Wal, by golly, maybe it IS an ulcer." They never did find conclusive evidence, but Prilosec for a few months really helped a lot. I know doctors are horrible, but you might want to at least rule them out as a possible cure.

Tummy

You can check with sable sam to see if she recognizes any syptoms like I used to have. I would be doubled over with pain but then I invariably got sick. That would relieve the pain and then I was exhausted, but felt better. My Doc, whom I love, put me on Nexium and a tablet a day is awesome!!!! I have recently switched to Protonix. It may or may not be similar, but like I said, you may check with Sable_sam. If I go off the meds for 2 or more days, I have the recurring symptoms........

Thanks for the advice...but there is absolutely no nausea connected with this. And I've only experienced it one other time, about 6 months ago.

[identity profile] apocalypticbob.livejournal.com 2006-02-11 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
Ooohhh...I just got rid of a stomach virus that caused pain. Just pain. Took about two days to pass, and I felt every nerve in my digestive system during those two days.
Feel better!
