I am too old. For this shit.

Okay, then. The lesson for today is: Miss CR, if you are going to go out drinking with friends, eat at least one reasonably sized meal during the day. The two chocolate-covered shortbread hearts and gingerbread cookies that you co-worker brought in? Do not make a sufficient breakfast. The bite or two of leftover dahl? Not a good lunch. The half cup or so of rice and beans was a good start for dinner, but perhaps you should have fleshed it out with, you know, seconds or thirds.

Lack of food did, however, make me a very cheap drunk.

Thanks a million to [livejournal.com profile] shrijani and [livejournal.com profile] pamelonian for going out with me last night. I had an absolutely fantastic time. We must do it again! Although perhaps maybe next time I should stop after the third glass of wine.

It's going to be a rather long day, I fear.

UPDATE: on the bright side, I think I found a solution to my recent sleeping problems. Four glasses of wine and a hot mead topper certainly did the trick. Nearly eight hours solid, baby. Ah.

And let it be known that [livejournal.com profile] acommonreader is my Best Friend for today. OMG breakfast burrito! Love! Her! Muchly!

You got more sleep than I did. And I'll be paying for that around 6 pm when I drag my sorry ass out of the gym.

Anyway, I was happy to see you yesterday, brief as it was. :)

Woooooo woooo!

Let it be known that that burrito (mmm mmm good) was handed to me in a bag labeled "Papa." WHAT?!

Enjoy :)

THANK GOD. It made me think of "The Wet Bandits" in home alone, and I wondered if some crazy tucked in that place wanted to be known, eventually, by those bags...

Oh! People who bring hangover breakfast are the best. people. ever.

Yes. She is best people ever *and* a snappy dresser.

A friend of mine makes the best anti-hangover food ever. It's this toast with layers of melted cheese and lots of garlic and onions. That and some aspirin flushes the hangover right outta me.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-02-15 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Sounds like it has the potential to flush out a hell of a lot more than just the hangover...

Indeed! MMmmmMMmmMmm.

I think I'll be having garlic and onion goodness in dinner tonight. I've inspired myself.

:^)

I slept like a baby, too. One thing I always forget about wine: I tend to poison myself with it. Then I go for a long time without drinking any wine. Then I forget and do it again.

I hope you got better soon.

Yeah, frackin' sulfites. (Can we blame the sulfites, or was it the amount consumed? Let's blame the fulsites. Yeah. *hick*)

I think I was just a touch hung-over m'self. But I had a lovely time! Thank you, and yes, we must do it again! :)
