Ok, that was a lot of not fun
So. Yesterday I went home early. Not feeling well. Missed the burlesque show at Jackpot Saloon that I've been looking forward to for weeks and also missed a phone call I really really would have liked to answer. Boo, boo, boo. Suxxor. But at least I got about 12 hours of sleep.
Woke up this morning feeling eh, but not bad enough to stay home. Bit of a sore throat and stuffy nose. Nothing bad. And I did get my flu shot so I Do Not Have Teh Flu! At least that's what I keep telling myself.
But then about half an hour ago, I decided maybe it was time to eat some breakfast here at my desk. Ate two bites of a granola bar and BANG! Terrible terrible stomach pain. Not quite on the level that it was a couple weeks ago, but pretty bad. The pain passed very quickly, but I'm a bit concerned. The milky tea seems to be doing ok, thankfully.
The current eating situation, that I thought was somewhat resolved, seems to have taken another unannounced left turn.
*sigh*

I know.
It's just $30 co-pay. To have them say Oh sorry! Here, maybe you can try this medication that may or may not be on your forumulary and may or may not work...Bah.

Aside from the fact that they can test you for actual ulcers (another person on my friends list is indeed being tested to day for that, after putting it off forever and assuming it was NSAID irritation)...
The gastroenterology field has come a long way since they thought that ulcers were caused by stress.

However, the entire procedure seemed pretty painless from her description.
I know it's a fucking pain to deal with doctors. I just really hate the idea of you in pain, ya know?

Yeah, that's a thought. I used to have to take Zantac pretty regularly. Maybe I should just start taking those again regularly for a week or so. At least Zantac is available OTC now.

But this does explain why you weren't at your desk when I was trying to take care of my enrollment yesterday (I still need to go up tomorrow or Friday to walk a single sheet of paper from one end of Strong to the other, which completes the process). After I took care of my business, I happened through Wescoe to say hi. You should've seen it--it was quite amusing hobbling the campus on crutches. One guy with a cane stopped and waved. Very strange.

On the bright side, you've still got the hottest legs in the room! ;)

I've managed to (slowly, with teeny tiny bites spaced out over the past six hours) finish one of these granola bars. Progress!
