I didn't win it, but this made me happy

CNN story about the Nebraska meat-packing employees who won the largest Powerball ever.

OK, so a bunch of blue-collar Nebraska folks, two immigrants from Vietnam and one from central Africa? Thumbs up, people. That's good stuff. This made me almost as happy as the guy a couple years ago who proposed to his girlfriend who accepted the day before he won a multi-million dollar Powerball.

It's nice to be reminded that really cool things do still happen to ordinary folks.

Now let's hope that they don't end up in dire straights in a few years...

That is sweet. However, by and large, I subscribe to the theory that gambling lotteries are simply a targeted tax against those people who are poor at math.
