Do you realize this is the last Friday of February?

Dancing last night was ok. I wasn't feeling 100%, so I didn't even bring my sword. Thanks a million to [livejournal.com profile] roya_spirit for the impromptu duet. So. Much. Fun! The new dance-fu (thank you, [livejournal.com profile] adammaker) costume looked great. Nobody had a digital camera, so photos will not be forthcoming. Sorry!

Yes, I am going to the doctor this afternoon about my stomach problems. Which, of course, haven't surfaced for a couple days now.

Tonight I'm modeling for a photoshoot. I've been advised by one of the more experienced models to bring a number of outfits. I know one of the photographers would like to photograph some bellydance costumes (perhaps I'll bring last night's dance-fu costume) and maybe my faire garb. Hmmm. I wonder if the Yak can be revived for one more photo session? I'm also thinking about bringing the anime outfit I wore to last Saturday's party. I'm also thinking about doing a raggedy punk outfit for the end of the evening when my makeup starts to fail. Any other suggestions?

Boo. Found out that the Rockabilly Blowout at Jackpot Saloon has been moved to Mondays, which means I won't get to go to them anymore since that's my yoga class. Ah, it's nice to see that my luck continues in all areas of life.

1. What things do you do even though you know you'll regret it later (e.g. drink a caffeinated beverage, stay up late)? I'm bad about staying up later than I should, sometimes. Occasionally drinking too much ranks up there, as well.
2. Why do you do them? Um, because it's worth it?
3. What things do you *not* do even though you know you'll regret it later (e.g. exercise, clean your house)? Hm. Nothing I can think of.
4. Why don't you do them? N/A
5. What strategies have you developed to help yourself do the things you should, or not do the things you shouldn't? I do the things I want when I want to and don't do the things I don't want to. I'm not one for regrets.

1. When does liking someone a lot become loving that person? When you're willing to do something to your detriment that aids them.
2. Is there a job you would do for free, and is it your current job? A *job*? Doesn't that by definition include pay? Um. No. Oh, unless there's a job that consists of sipping Piña Coladas on a gorgeous tropical beach. That'd I'd do for free. Heck, I'd even let them pay me.
3. What is one person/thing that inspired you to take action of some sort? My parents have always been an inspiration to me. Never give up. I really can do anything I want if I work at it hard enough.
4. Though you might not believe in it, would you like fate to exist? No. Definitely not. I repeat Marcus's quote from Babylon 5:
"You know, I used to think it was awful that life was so unfair. Then I thought, wouldn't it be much worse if life were fair, and all the terrible things that happen to us come because we actually deserve them? So, now I take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe."

5. What's the kindest thing that anyone has ever done for you? I don't think I can really quantify that. So many people have done me kindnesses over the years. It would be impossible to rank them.

You look hot in anything.

How about just the black leather jacket?

Um, it's not that sort of photoshoot.

LOL! I was teasing. Please post pics if you can =)

hmmm,
Severe librarian? Business outfit, strong glare?

Hooray for the outfit from the party AND the Dance-fu getup.

I was only there for a few minutes and I was very happy to be there.

The Duet was major fun to watch.

I really need to pick up a good cheap digtal cam that I can leave in my pockets. There are many wonderful sights in the world that I'd like to take home.

So sorry to have missed it...you are always a divine sight, even when you're not feeling your best.

But I did get to see fabulous ballet (the thankfully not armflappy kind) danced by a beautiful, lean dancer with a nose (http://www.kcballet.org/photo_nut12.html)...

My god. That is a nose. My, my, my. I glad you were able to cleanse your palate.

Yeppers, especially tasty that boy is...ultraflexy too, with the ability to cant his hips like only a Tharp trained dancer can...

with the ability to cant his hips

Aaaaaand that does it. I'm officially No Good For The Rest Of The Day.

[identity profile] adammaker.livejournal.com 2006-02-24 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I prefer to think of that effect as It's All Good For the Rest of the Day.

Not that I have any familiarity with the feeling.
Heh.

I feel so good about the whole thing, even if we didn't get to "do the discussion".
We did pretty good for not doing this in so long!
*kiss*

It's like riding a bicycle!

Not that I know how to ride a bicycle, but ...

Dance-fu! Ha, I like it.
You and RS were not only gorgeous last night but also mesmerizing! It was a real pleasure to see you dance again.

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you! It was great to see you again!

So very sorry we didn't make it to Aladdin. If you've talked to Pooch, you'll know we were planning to come but then someone didn't show up for work so I had to stay until close ..... poo!

[identity profile] clevermanka.livejournal.com 2006-02-27 02:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Poo, indeed. Unreliable co-workers are the worst.
