Money Money Money
All my talk of money woes, and yesterday I dropped about $200 in a snap decision. After talking about my desire to purchase my own grommet setting machine to both
cedarsong and
the_themiscyran (I can only rely on the kindness of
radcliffe so many times), I called up Fastener Supply yesterday afternoon to check their pricing.
The woman who answered the phone apologized that they only had one style of hand press in stock, the HP110 one on this page. Well, that's awfully similar to
radcliffe's, so that's the one I was looking at anyway. The woman brightened up and said "Oh, good news! That one's on sale right now for eighty dollars." Eighty dollars!!! Everywhere else I was looking online was $175 and up. Man. So, um, yeah. Bought it. Bought it, the die (another $62), and a gross of grommets in each color. Oh, and they are offering 25% off shipping for orders of $100 or more. Roxxor. But it was a little unexpected, I admit. So much for not putting any more purchases on the credit card.
On the other hand, I sold another one of my old tassel belts to one of the troupe girls and a third girl might purchase the last one. So hurray! At least two of the belts out of my house and a bit of money in my pocketbook.

There are good reasons to use credit cards...so long as those good reasons are not jumbled up in large numbers.
