Wash that gray right outta my hair

After a rather harrowing Saturday and Sunday morning, I removed myself from polite society with kij and hennaed hair for the rest of Sunday. Kij's turned out absolutely gorgeous--a vibrant red with flashes of blonde. I hennaed then indigoed mine in an attempt to cover my white hairs. It looks very good, although this morning's rinse took out some of the blue. I think next time I'll rent a movie and leave the indigo on for two hours instead of one. We used henna from Mehandi.com. It was a little pricey, but worth it. The color is fantastic and doesn't smell nearly as bad as stuff I've used in the past.

Kij was fantastic and didn't grump when I glopped henna on her arm for the third time. I'm not sure how often I'll have to do this, but I hope with practice it will get easier, if not less messy.

My head smells like a barn.
