The humdrum

The entire third floor of Wescoe smells like bacon. I can only imagine how strong it is downstairs. Oh my god it smells good.

On the walk up to campus today, I felt really disoriented and kind of vertigo-ish. My depth perception was way off. Walking up the stairs, it looked like they were at chest height. I actually took my glasses off to look at them so I could confirm that yes, I was wearing my current prescription and not the old one. Things are a little better now, but I'm still a bit off.

The final Devadasis rehearsal last night went pretty well. I'm going to run it at home at least twice a day for the rest of the week so my tenuous grasp on the footwork doesn't fail me.

Aw. I just got off the phone with my Daddy. He called to chat and see if the results of my CAT scan were in (they aren't). I'm excited to see the folks in July. He mentioned something about taking us to Ruth's Chris for dinner one night when I'm there. Whatta guy!

I see you added me back. I feel quite flattered! :) Really, I remember reading in one of your meme's or fives or *something* about how you go about adding people to your friends list and it's only people you feel you really know or like or whatever. Anyway, I'm honored to have made the cut!

Yeah, it takes me a while. I want to make sure the person and I honestly have something in common besides other friends. I feel bad about having people on my flist that I don't honestly READ and care about. I don't like unfriending people because of lack of interest, but at the same time, I don't want to continue to read their journal and pretend that I'm interested in their life.

I'm sure some people find me dreadfully boring, too. I wouldn't feel slighted by that, but I know most people do.

So yeah, I'm careful about who I friend these days.

Sorry, I'm a wee bit dense. Why did you need a CAT scan? And wouldn't needing a CAT scan make you a bit nervous about experiencing vertigo and depth perception issues?

I got the scan for my tummy troubles. I think the vertigo thing is just allergy stuff fucking with my sinuses and inner ears.

We used to have a restaurant here in Lawrence called "Fifi's Nabil's" because, yes, someone named Fifi bought it from someone named Nabil.

*shrug* Seems silly to me. Keep the old name or just make up a whole new one that doesn't involve triggering grammar twitches.
