Friday! I thought I'd never make it

This is precisely why I have very little respect for what passes as modern art: Art gallery loses its head, displays plinth. When a museum curator cannot tell the difference between artwork and the pedestal on which artwork stands, it does not reflect well on what is acceptable as artistic contributions to culture.

PSA: It is not appropriate to use attempts at guilt and coersion to make me eat chocolate. I did not ask you to purchase that chocolate for me and I do not appreciate the fact that you are trying to make me feel bad for not eating it. When I suggest that you put the chocolate across the hall for others to enjoy, do not tell me that is an undesirable solution for you because you don't want people you don't like eating the chocolate you purchased. Your attitude is quickly removing you from my good graces. Cease immediately or risk my displeasure.

1. If someone described a person as "nice", what mental picture would that give you? Would their gender make a difference (i.e., is the mental picture of a "nice" woman different from that of a "nice" man)? If someone uses "nice" as the single descriptive adjective about someone, I envision a mildly pleasant but boring individual. Gender doesn't make much difference.
2. Is it important to you that people be "nice"? Why or why not? No. Nice can be a facade. I'll take courteous yet honest over "nice" any day.
3. How "nice" are you? Not terribly. I hope.
4. Who is the "nicest" person in your life? I wouldn't want to name names for fear of insulting anyone.
5. What is the "nicest" thing in your life? Probably some benign article of clothing that would be appropriate to wear should I ever need to appear in a church again.

1. What’s the most embarrassing thing/job you’ve had to do to earn money? I can think of specific situations in any job that were embarrassing, but I don't think I've ever had a job that was, in itself, embarrassing.
2. What’s the easiest and quickest way you have earned a buck? Probably made a bet with someone over something I knew was right and they didn't believe me.
3. If you could set your own salary, according to your skills and worth, how much would you earn? A million bazillion dollars.
4. Are you a good saver? Usually. I'm pretty frugal by nature.
5. What’s the most expensive and useless thing you have ever bought? I don't think I've ever bought something entirely useless. That seems a very silly thing to do.

I just realized today is the deadline for something I have to submit at work today. Ha ha. Oops. Guess I better get on that.

Assuming you're talking about the chocolate thing, this guy has always been a little weird. This time, it just pushed me over the edge.

I am talking about the chocolate thing...

It reminded me of the way some people in my world are behaving very controlling and bossy lately and nearly demanding certain behaviors from me. It's just out of the ordinary and I'm finding it wierd.

Good lord: "'Given their separate submission, the two parts were judged independently,'" it said in a statement. "'The head was rejected. The base was thought to have merit and accepted.... It is accepted that works may not be displayed in the way that the artist might have intended.'"

I don't think one need comment further.
