Another new dress day

And I need it. Wearing of a new dress = maybe, possibly, somehow able to occasionally forget that I am suffering absolutely killer menstrual craps. OMG OW.

I did lots of sewing this weekend and it was faboo. Signed, sealed, and delivered:
  • Headache pillows for [livejournal.com profile] stuology and my landlady
  • Precious leopard print ensemble for Ada
  • Two more shift dresses for moi

Ada's outfit was my first foray into baby clothes and I am enamored. So much fun! I think it was the cutest thing I've ever made. It was actually kind of hard to leave it with [livejournal.com profile] _mac_ and [livejournal.com profile] stuology. I was like "Ok. Um. I'm off. Er. Bye. Um. Ok. oh god do I really have to leave it here? Um. OK. Really. Going Now." *sigh*

A million thanks to [livejournal.com profile] mechascorpio for totally saving my ass on the OLK44 folder thing. You are a god. Kiss kiss kiss!

Now I shall remove myself and my hideous nightmare cramps from LJ and go walk around. Perhaps a bit of movement will help because seriously I Am Dying.

You recovered the doc with Friday's work??!! Rockin!!! I'm so glad to hear it, especially as I just made that solution up to look more authoritative ;) j/k Hope it all worked well, that's a helluva way to end a day, let alone a week. Your particular case was another reminder that far too many software designers just don't study how people actually do their work. The "temp folder" thing is totally non-intuitive. Of course people are going to directly open and work on an attachment. So when they go to Save it (out of fear that everything is going to crash anyway), at least prompt us users to put it into an easily accessible, logical location.

hee hee-sewing little baby clothes is fun-instant gratification!

you must post a pic of the pattern or dress. I had HOPED to make something this week before I leave but I seriously don't think that is gonna happen LOL

I think Simplicity discontinued the pattern (of course) 'cos I can't find it on their website. It's a basic princess-seamed sleeveless shift dress with boat-neck.

I don't have access to a digital camera at the moment. =( Sorry.

Ugh. I hope they abate soon. I'm expecting my cramps and attendant glory to arrive Wednesday. Salut!
