I looked at them, and noticed the horribly expensive prices compared to everywhere else, except for that one Bargain section. It looks like they are non-American DVDs without the standard boxing (the Smallville ones looked like they had Asian writing on them). They stated the region encoding was correct for US players, and that they weren't pirated foreign copies, but I don't know. Really, really cheap pricing and incomplete packaging is usually a indicator of pirated goods.
I asked my DVD collecting co-worker and he had never heard of them. I also couldn't find anything online about them.
Yeah, that's what I was worried about, too. *sigh* I really couldn't care less about the packaging and asian characters on the discs (that might actually be kinda nifty). But I can't support a bootleg industry.
I might have to agree with Victor on his assessment. Although I haven't tried it myself, at least a couple of my friends swear by deepdiscountdvd.com (http://www.deepdiscountdvd.com/). Pretty decent prices overall, plus free shipping on just about every order (that I'm aware of). Occasionally, they'll run a special of 20% off, in addition to their discount prices.
I've purchased from deepdiscount and it was fine. But this place had all five seasons of Babylon 5 for $145. Nothing else even comes close to that price.
